Hadrill Horstmann Pluslite Magnifying Lamp England circa 1930


An original Hadrill and Horstmann Pluslite map reading lamp with magnifying glass. This fully restored lamp is now in beautiful condition. The base and counterweight have been repainted and the cast aluminium arms have been polished to a high gloss. Rubber grommets in the armature have been replaced and the whole rewired with a traditional twin flex cloth-covered cord that meets Australian electrical standards. Test and tagged, ready to use.

A feature lamp that stands out beautifully as a design object and a wonder of industrial design in it's own right. Maginificent!

Aluminium arms polished. Shade in original condition, slight bumps and scratches to paint. Original Hadrill Horstmann logo and instructions clear and bright on inside leaf of magnifier compartment. Switch at top of shade replaced with new switch and bulb holder in traditional style. Rewired with twisted flex cloth-covered cord. Certified (tested and tagged) to Australian electrical standards.

The magnifying glass is in excellent condition - no cracks, no scratches. The large counterbalance weight has been repainted in matt Black. Similarly the base has been repainted. All cord holders on the armature have had the rubber grommets replaced. All joints and knobs are in excellent working condition. Overall, excellent restored condition and working perfectly.
