Huge Ellis Pottery Ceramic Lamp, Melbourne c.1960

Huge Ellis Pottery Ceramic Lamp, Melbourne c.1960

A rare example of Ellis pottery on a grand scale. This may be a once-only commissioned item from the Ellis Pottery. It has a monumental quality, standing sentinel like a lighthouse or a grand chess piece.

It's available with either Black or Coral shade as pictured.

Ellis Pottery, based in Abbotsford, Victoria, was the studio of Dasa and Milda Kratochvil. Larger pieces were hand finished by Milda.

Height of ceramic only 54 cm

Diameter 22 cm

Height w shade 96 cm

Excellent. Rewired, tested and tagged to Australian Standard. Some crazing of glaze on prominent parts of lamp, see second to final image, not significant and is consistent and attractive.
