Spanish-manufactured version of the classic Bauhaus Christian Dell designed, Kaiser Idell Luxus or President 6631 model desk lamp. This meets the specifications of the Kaiser lamp exactly but does not have the Kaiser Idell stamp on the shade. Instead it carries a small mark to the base, 'AAA, Spain'.

This version made under the Francoist Spanish regime, which had industrial ties to Germany and Italy in WWII. Our German restorer reckons the licence for this lamp will have been sold to Spain by Germany around 1950. 

A very interesting collectors item and a good example of how the designs of the Bauhaus and of Christian Dell were co-opted and produced for government offices across Axis countries in WWII and after.
