This excellent, large lamp is signed with the Bitossi 'B.' and marked 'Italy'. It has a small sticker from one of Bitossi's out-sourced Bari ceramic works. 

The turned terracotta has given the surface a lovely rugged texture. The glaze is ivory or off-white with a ring of impressed circles glazed in Rimini Blue. A classic.

Comes with large blue drum shade.

CONDITION:

Excellent. There are three natural faults in the base as shown in the images, these are hairline splits in the fired clay extending from base upwards about 40mm. They are not noticeable. There is a chip which has been glazed in the firing process therefore an original chip, completely invisible when the lamp is standing, as it is on the inside rim of the base. These are only mentioned for accuracy. The lamp wiring is original and therefore about 45 years old. It is working but will be tested and tagged for safety before despatch.
