Czech Glass Footed Bowl, probably Chribska Glasswork 1960s

A$0.00

Czech glass in an asymmetrical biomorphic form typical of Chribska Glasswork. A tricorn shape with thick, uneven walls to the bowl. Very much in the style of Josef Hospodka from the 1960s.

The technique is not easy to see at first due to the saturated colour of the red glass, however this is in fact red glass encased in clear glass.

A wonderful centrepiece or sculptural ornament. It could be used to display grapes or other fruit.

DIMENSIONS

Height 9 cm

Long width 23 cm

Short width 20.5 cm

CONDITION

Very good. There are a few very minor scuffs and very very fine scratches but overall great condition, most of the surface is still fresh and reflects light beautifully. Tiny pinpoint pits to the interior of the bowl where it was used in the past. Overall juicy, clear, clean appearance.
