Robert J Godfrey Pty Ltd manufactured many different forms of wooden milliners hat blocks and display stands in the first half of the twentieth century, in Melbourne.

Their products are now quite collectable as part of Melbourne’s early design, fashion and manufacturing history, and are held in private, local and state design collections. These hat blocks do make super useful places to park a hat. They play well with other objects and are just an all-round pleasing shape.

CONDITION:

Used, pin holes, scuffs, glue marks, knocks, some cracks in dried timber end grain. Original finish. Has not been oiled, treated or refinished.
