Verner Panton Wire Cone Table, Fritz Hansen 1980s
REQUEST SHIPPING QUOTE
This vintage Verner Panton Wire Cone Table is one of most unusual Danish mid-century modern designs. Produced by Fritz Hansen in the 1980s. Hard to come by.
Restored Verner Panton wire table with original black top and refinished silver base, iconic mid-century modern design with sculptural wire cone pedestal. Produced by Fritz Hansen, 1980s and hard to come by.
Sadly, the chrome base finish on this one was, to put it politely, stuffed, and chrome restoration cost was incompatible with the overall table value.
Instead, we’ve manually stripped, prepared and repainted in a hard-wearing silver metalic paint. I know! I’m suitably ashamed. We did a very good job of it though.
It certainly doesn’t have the cache of the original chrome, but the table size is so perfect for smaller interiors, I couldn’t let it go. It also comes at a bargain basement price.
A breakfast table, a coffee for two table, a small, elegant dining table - just a superb design.
MEASURES
Height: 64 cm
Diameter: 75 cm
CONDITION
Typical dents, scuffs etc, see images for examples . Some remaining oxide at the foot of the spiral stem, cleaned and dressed with car wax to prevent further rust, inconspicuous. Whole of foot stripped of chrome and rust, treated and re-coated in silver finish.
